Education: you can teach English, Math, Music, Dance, Art, computer skills, Sports events, Social Sciences etc. Come to Yantalo to learn and/or improve your Spanish.

Health Care: you can treat patients from all ages! Most locals do not have the means to travel to a major city for medical treatment.

Public Health: You can run workshops or do studies on nutrition, family planning, sexual education, preventive medicine, etc.

Other: We’re open to your ideas on how you can contribute!

Note: If you’re looking to volunteer in the schools-

We recommend traveling between March 1st–Dec 29th when schools are in session. This also avoids the rainy season. January, February, and the first two weeks of August are school vacations, so not ideal if you want to volunteer with the kids. There are many other holidays, confirm time with Mery before booking.

Our team was led by Dr. George Hoerr, a talented plastic surgeon who obviously loved the children that he cared for. He operated many long hours and days to treat everyone he possibly could. Surgeries ranged from cleft lip/palate repair to scar revision to syndactyly repair.
